1st floor of the Farnsworth Children’s Building
First Christian Church is dedicated to providing a loving, safe, and nurturing environment. The lead nursery attendant is a trained church employee with many years experience here at FCC. She is assisted by caring volunteers who rotate to be sure that each child has individual attention. |

Our nursery program not only provides love and care for the youngest of our children, but also emphasizes learning about God through Bible stories and age appropriate activities. Teachers lead by joyfully demonstrating God’s love. |

| SONday's Child |
(Kindergarten - 5th grade)
2nd Floor of the Farnsworth Children’s Building
SONDAY’S Child is dedicated to helping grade school children to understand and participate in worshiping God. All the children meet together in the “Upper Room” for the class opening.
The Shepherd for each age group then leads the children to the rotation of the day to experience the Biblical story. This is an exciting program where children will attend one of the specially designed rooms for their class each Sunday. These include The Prophet’s Playhouse, Vine Grower’s Village, Desert Tales, Joseph’s Carpenter Shop, Mary & Martha’s Bed and Breakfast, Joyful Celebration, and God’s World .com.
The 4th & 5th grade ages go once a month to a nearby nursing home to visit their adopted grandparents. |

| Godly Play |
In the Royce Farnsworth Children’s Building
Godly Play is a method of Christian education and spiritual direction primarily for young children. The goal of Godly Play is to teach children the art of using religious language, parable, sacred story, silence, and liturgical action to help them become more fully aware of the mystery of God’s presence around them and in their lives.
Preschool children are invited to attend the extended session in the Farnsworth Children’s Building.
Children in Kindergarten through 3rd Grade are invited to attend Godly Play in the Farnsworth Children’s Building. |

| Faith Factor |
Meets Sunday Evenings (5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.) for fellowship in the Activity Center. Grades K-5 are invited to participate in fun-filled activities.

| JYF - Youth Fellowship for grades 4 & 5 |
JYF stands for Junior Youth Fellowship. This group introduces the concept of church youth group and begins to form a foundation of longevity in church participation.
JYF provides opportunities for relationship building, fun, learning what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus Christ, and a young person within the world. It is the purpose of JYF to build upon the experiences of the earlier years in our Primary Department with more emphasis upon spiritual development.
Rallies & Camps are seasonal events of our JYF Youth Ministries. They are hosted at Lake Brownwood Christian Retreat (outside of Brownwood, Texas).

| Vacation Bible School |
Vacation Bible School (VBS) is free and open to any child 4 years – 5th grades. Singing songs, hearing God’s stories in new ways and energizing games are just a few of the highlights. Each day every activity, from snacks and crafts to Bible adventures, focuses on specific ways children can plan to live out their faith. VBS lessons and materials are designed to teach and reinforce the week’s Christian living theme. Children and families are encouraged to bring friends. |
